Pain is physical AND emotional 100% of the time.
In this workshop, you'll learn core tenets of pain science and psychology, including: the role of emotions in pain, the science of somatics, biobehavioral treatments for pain, and the CBT Pain Cycle connecting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We discuss the neuroscience of how pain becomes chronic; common comorbidities like anxiety, depression and trauma; and the spike in pain and overdoses during COVID-19. This is the second course in a 6-part series.
